The Square Gothic Acorn Planter, shown here in the Old Rustic finish, has a wide surface area for planting and enough planting depth for some perennials and most annuals. This planter has a sister container, the Square Gothic Thistle Planter (D954), with a slightly different motif on the sides and the same dimensions.  The two look very similar.  All Classic Rock planters/containers are made of cast concrete (“cast stone”) and have good drainage holes.    Manufactured here on Vancouver Island, these containers are readily available. Superior containers are well designed, visually pleasing and longer lasting, thus proving their worth over time.  Note: Any planter benefits from being raised 1/2″ or more above a flat surface allowing better drainage.
